Educational Software Barriers

Goals

Determine the barriers to entry that educational software developers face when getting their products adopted by app stores and the school districts.

Early Findings

Educational Software Barriers

  • One of the barriers to entry that educational software developers face when getting their products adopted by the school districts is the lack of data security features of their app.
  • In several school districts, the head of technology ensures that the app will not violate the students' personal privacy and that their personal information is secure.
  • For apps in general, one of the barriers to entry when getting their products adopted by app stores include the highly complex processes that need to be followed before an app can get listed into an app store. The process is also not fully democratised.

Proprietary Database Search Results

In addition to this public search, we scanned our proprietary research database of over 1 million sources and were unable to find any specific research reports that address your goals.

Summary of Findings:

  • Our initial one hour of research provided some of the barriers to entry that educational software developers face when getting their products adopted by districts.
  • However, the barriers to entry to be adopted by app stores that we found are more for apps in general as those specific to educational sofware were not found.
