California - Major City Populations
To know what the population numbers are for major cities in California. Examples of what qualified as a major city is Los Angeles and San Diego.
- The state of California itself has a population of 39,512,223 according to the latest estimates from the United States Census Bureau.
- We populated the attached spreadsheet with the most recent population estimates obtained from the United States Census Bureau with the major cities in the state of California. As the definition of major was not provided to us, we made the call that it meant any city with over 150,000 people in it.
Summary Of Our Early Findings Relevant To The Goals
- We provided the populations of every city in California that had a population greater than 150,000, and placed the data in a Google spreadsheet for ease of viewing.
