Goals

To determine whether short term rentals (STRs) are allowed in both single family homes and in accessory dwelling units (ADUs), along with the transit oriented tax % for STRs, in 35 counties in California, in order to know whether individuals can be airbnb hosts in these counties. The results should be presented in a spreadsheet.

Early Findings

  • The attached spreadsheet was created and the first four counties were completed.
  • The initial research showed it is likely that the regulations in some counties will be complicated, while others will be straightforward.
