Canadian Credit Card Rewards Programs-2

Goals

To learn about the following reward programs: TD Rewards, Scotia Rewards, Avion (RBC), BMO Rewards, Airmiles, AMEX Membership Rewards, Areoplan, CIBC Aventura. The research will be used to learn about the background of a client.

Early Findings

Charts that outline points required for flightsAmerican Express' Fixed Points Travel Program uses a chart which outlines the minimum required number of points that can be redeemed for a flight. Aeroplan and Air Miles use similar charts.
TD RewardsTD Bank doesn't appear to change customers a fee when they redeem points through the call centre, as this isn't indicated on their website.
TD Bank enables clients to pay using rewards points through their "Pay With Rewards" program. This is done through the TD app, which is also used to pay Canadian bills. The redemption minimum is set at $25 or 10,000 TD Rewards points.
TD Business Travel Visa* Credit Card offers up to $247 in annual fee rebates, but customers qualify for this automatically, without spending rewards points. There is no indication that TD Bank allows cardholders to pay their annual credit fee with reward points.
