Overview

  • Search trends suggested that there are more aspiring IO psychologists searching for professional development resources than existing psychologists, which makes it challenging to determine specifically what searches were specifically googled by IO psychologists.
  • In order to triangulate which of these searches are most likely to be IO psychologists, we filtered for any searches related to seeking a degree or education leading to this profession, such as searches for university programs or related to educational paths. Below we've included these filtered search trends.

Given there was limited ability to filter Google search results specifically to the demographic required, we'd suggest a report on what academic journals and professional publications, both online and offline, are most used by IO psychologists. We'll compile a list of 7-10 publications and short description of how each offers professional and/or professional development content.
Provide an analysis of what continuing education is required of IO psychologists, as well as giving examples of sources of this education.
Provide a report on 5-7 top events or conferences (offline and online) IO psychologists attend in the US, as related to their job duties.
