Goals
To obtain a list of 4-star and above all-inlcusive resorts located in the Caribbean or Mexico that are family friendly and, ideally, have a water park. For each park, obtain details on location, food options, and price.
Early Findings
Caribbean Resorts
- According to the Family Vacation Critic website, the top five all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean with water parks are the Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa in St. Lucia; the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa in Jamaica; the Nickelodeon Hotels and Resorts Punta Cana in the Domincan Republic; the Jewel Runaway Bay Beach & Golf Resort in Jamaica; and Beaches in Turks & Caicos.
- Oyster.com lists the top Caribbean resorts with water parks as Memories Splash Punta Cana; Beaches in Turks & Caicos; Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa in Jamaica; Beaches Negril in Jamaica; and Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa in St. Lucia.
- Red Tricycle published an article listing 21 resorts with amazing water features that included the Nickelodeon Hotels and Resorts Punta Cana as the only resort in the Caribbean that made their list.
- Nickelodeon Hotels and Beaches Turks & Caicos also made Reader's Digest's list of World's Best Waterpark Resorts.
- Best All Inclusive website included Beaches Turks & Caicos; Coconut Bay; Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa; and Memories Splash on its list of the best all-inclusive resorts for water park lovers.
Mexico Resorts
- According to the Family Vacation Critic website, the top five resorts in Mexico with water parks are the Royalton Riviera Cancun; Moon Palace Cancun; Panama Jack Resorts Cancun; Seadust Cancun Family Resort; and All Ritmo Cancun Resort & Waterpark.
- Oyster.com lists the top Mexican all-inclusive resorts with water parks as Sandos Caracol Eco Resort in Playa del Carmen; Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo in Playa del Carmen; Crown Paradise Club in Cancun; and Moon Palace Cancun.
- For Mexican resorts, Best All Inclusive included Moon Palace, Gran Caribe, and Excellence Playa Mujeres Resort.
Suggested for Further Research
- Based on the frequency with which they were included on lists of the best resorts with water parks, we recommend conducting further research on Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa in St. Lucia; Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa in Jamaica; Nickelodeon Hotels and Resorts Punta Cana; Beaches in Turks & Caicos; and Memories Splash Punta Cana in the Caribbean.
- In Mexico, there was less repetition of the top resorts so we recommend choosing 3 from the above based on the ones that have the highest ratings on Google and/or Trip Advisor.
