Goals

Obtain information on some of the major influencers on Instagram with at least 30,000 followers who have advocated for reusable solutions instead of plastic products. The information will be used to identify the right influencers who can promote refillable aluminum water bottles.

Summary of Findings:

Our one hour of research presented some of the major influencers on Instagram who promote the use of reusable solutions in their posts.These influencers have more than 30,000 followers.

We propose to continue with the research to provide 10-12 additional influencers on Instagram who have advocated for the use of refillable solutions instead of plastic items. We will focus on those with at least 30,000 followers on Instagram. For each influencer, we will provide the name, Instagram link, the number of followers, a 3-5 sentence about their background and environmental advocacy, and 2-3 posts that they have made that are related to reusable solutions. The posts should have been uploaded within the last 12 months. We assume a U.S.-focused research as there was no geography given.
We also recommend undertaking additional research to provide 10-12 additional influencers on any other social media sites such as Facebook or Twitter who have advocated for the use of refillable solutions instead of plastic items. We will focus on those with at least 30,000 followers. For each influencer, we will provide the name, social media link, number of followers, a 3-5 sentence about their background and environmental advocacy, and 2-3 posts that they have made that are related to reusable solutions. The posts should have been uploaded within the last 12 months. We assume a U.S.-focused research as there was no geography given.
