Apple Window Consumers

Goals

Gain an estimate of how many people have Apple phones but use Windows on their laptop or desktop computer, including any available information for specific countries, US, Germany, France, UK, Canada, Indonesia, India, Singapore, and Hong Kong in order to create a market sizing. 

Early Findings

As of 2017, there were approximately 728 million active iPhones in the world. 
IPhone is ranked third in total users the global smartphone market. 
In the US, it is estimated that there are just over 100 million active iPhone users. 
 One report from Microsoft notes there are 400 million active users of their most recent OS, Windows 10. 
However, when that number is adjusted to include laptops or desktops running older Windows OS, one source estimates there are over 1 billion Windows-powered PCs globally. 
Windows holds an approximately 36.05% market share of OS globally. 
For desktop computers, this market share increases to 77.7%.  
It is estimated that including servers, desktops, and laptops, there are over 2 billion computers in the world.
