Chicago Swimming Polls

Goals

To identify 25-50 meter (27-54 yard) indoor swimming pools in the downtown Chicago area (within a 15-minute drive from the Chicago Loop) that are open to the public on the weekend.

Early Findings

During our initial research, we found two indoor swimming pools in the requested geographic area, as well as two that fall a bit outside the requested area. We encountered several outdoor pools that may meet the other requirements, but indoor pools meeting the criteria were limited.
Sheridan Park PoolThe Sheridan Park Pool is a 25-yard indoor pool in Sheridan (Philip Henry) Park, located at 910 Abereeen St. in the 60607 zip code, which appears to be in the Chicago Loop.

Chicago Athletic Club - West LoopThe Chicago Athletic Club advertises pool lengths of 25 yards and 25 meters.

East Bank ClubThe East Bank Club is about a 30-minute drive from the Chicago Loop, but it has an indoor pool that measures 25 yards and is open on the weekends.
Carver Park PoolThe Carver Park Pool is located at 939 E. 132nd Street in the 60827 zip code, which is about 28 minutes from the Loop.
