Early Findings

United Kingdom

The Office for National Statistics collates employment data in the United Kingdom. The data is divided into two categories:

Germany

Statistisches Bundesamt collates employment data for Germany:
  • Employment statistics which includes the following data (all are accessible from same page):
    • Employment;
    • Men and Women;
    • Atypical employment;
    • Commuter; and
    • Unused labor supply
  • Unemployment statistics which includes the following data (all are accessible from same page):
    • Unemployed;
    • Registered unemployed

Summary

  • In our initial hour of research, we have identified the relevant organization responsible for collating labor market statistics in the United Kingdom and Germany. We have also identified the information that is publicly available within each organization. We suggest research to identify similar data for the remaining countries.
  • We anticipate there will be some language issues in relation to some of the countries. Google Translate should be sufficient to understand these pages but the translation will add time to the project.
