Goals

The goal is to find the top 3PL/4PL foodservice logistics companies in the US and compare their offerings.

Early Findings

  • Commercial Warehousing is located in Winter Haven, FL and provides 3PL logistics to all kinds of industries, including foodservice. Some services they provide include cold chain logistics, fulfillment logistics, vendor managed inventory, and contract packaging.
  •  ArrowStream is located in Chicago, IL and provides logistics solutions specifically for the foodservice industry. Some services they provide include contract price auditing, supply chain visibility, and commodity intelligence. Some of their clients include Papa John's, Shake Shack, and Noodles & Company.
  •  Descartes offers supply chain logistics solutions for the foodservice industry. Their services include dispatch management, real-time field data, and order confirmation and notification management. They are geared toward foodservice venues that offer delivery services.
  •  Burris Logistics offers logistics services to all kinds of industries, including foodservice. They offer customized distribution solutions, freight management, and analytics.
  •  CH Robinson is located in Eden Prairie, MN and offers logistic services to many industries including foodservice. They have a food and beverage supply chain expert in-house.
