Early Findings
There are several challenges recruiters face in relation to freelancing. Some include: lack of commitment, not getting the right match, communication issues, payment issues, and missed deadlines.
Lack of commitment
. With freelancers, the same level of commitment is not the same as with a regular staff. This is related to the fact that they are always looking for greener pastures or having
multiple projects
.
Not getting the right match
. The interview process for freelancers should not be the same for freelancers as for full time staff. Freelancing r
equires self-discipline, motivation
and resourcefulness.
Communication issues
. Freelancers are free to work on their schedule and
based on their time zones
and as such, clients sometimes
do not get updates
on the work

. Since freelancers are at liberty to plan their work schedule, there is an increased chance of them
missing clients' deadlines
. In some cases they might have emergencies that they must attend to such as funerals, getting ill and having to attend weddings.
Other challenges include increased misunderstandings, freelancers being f

, misunderstandings, giving clear
