Glassdoor Responses
Delivered September 5, 2019. Contributor: Hillary O.
Goals
Insights around if/how a company responds to Glassdoor user reviews (or similar job review sites), whether it improves favorability or has no impact at all.
Early Findings
- A 2016 Glassdoor survey revealed that 90% of job seekers consider the employer's "perspective helpful" and 62% mention that "their perception of a company improves after seeing an employer respond to a review."
- According to Review Tracker, responding to reviews on Glassdoor (in the right way) is important in getting employees and retaining them.
- A 2017 study by Glassdoor involving participants who shared their opinion of a company after reading the company's review, showed that those who saw a positive review formed a "better opinion of the company, were more eager to apply and to
recommend it, and said they would ask for smaller salary
increases than participants who saw a negative or
neutral review."
- Software Advice revealed in a survey that almost 50% of US job seekers review Glassdoor reviews. Most of them are impacted by these reviews and how the company responds to it.
