  • Google acquired Slide for $182M.
  • Google acquired Jambool for $70M.
  • Google acquired BeatThatQuote.com for $61.5M.
  • Google acquired Metaweb Technologies for an undisclosed amount of money.

2011

  • Google acquired ITA Software for $700M.
  • Google acquired PittPatt for an undisclosed amount of money.
  • Google acquired Admeld for $400M.
  • Google acquired eBook Technologies for an undisclosed amount of money.
  • Google acquired Zetawire for an undisclosed amount of money.
  • Google acquired Motorola Mobility for $12.5B, but then sold it to Lenovo for $2.9B in October 2014.

2018

  • Google acquired Tenor for an undisclosed amount of money.

2019

  • In June 2019, Google began the process to acquire Looker for $2.6B, and the deal is expected to close by the end of the year.

1. What information do you want to know for each acquisition we identify? Right now all we have provided is the name of the company acquired, the year it was acquired, and the acquisition price (as available). Is that enough, or do you want more info for each acquisition (i.e. company type that was acquired, specific acquisition date, reason for purchase, current status of acquired business, etc.)?

2. Do you have a preference on how this data is supplied? A spreadsheet might be the most organized form if that works for you.
