Goals

To gain a better understanding of the Houston event space market as a whole.

Early Findings

Houston Event Space MarketHouston has 4.4 million square feet of convention and event space. The convention center represents the majority of that total with 3.9 million square feet.
In 2016, Houston held 431 conventions, events, and shows which drew over 625,000 attendees.
There are 269 special event venues in Houston.

City Assistance to Event SpacesThe Visit Houston convention and visitors bureau (CVB) offers a Meeting Convention Kit in order to help both planners and event spaces.
Planners can also submit an RFP directly on the VIsit Houston site so it would behoove a new venue to be connected with the CVB.
