UAE Dining and Cuisine Landscape

Goals

Obtain insights on the dining and cuisine landscape of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and its individual emirates (Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah, Sharjah, Dubai, Ras al-Khaimah and Umm al-Quwain). Determine also the psychographic profiles of the residents. The information will be used to come up with modern take on dishes for a major international event.

Early Findings

UAE Dining and Cuisine Landscape
The food market is the biggest sector in the UAE.
Dubai has positioned itself as the biggest destination in the Middle East for the food and beverage sector.
UAE is a major food importer but its focus is on ensuring abundant food supply on the domestic market and ensuring that locally-sourced food is given a spotlight.
