Goals

Compare the e-commerce and media capabilities of Amazon, Wal Mart (grocery & .com), Target (.com & Shipt), Kroger, and Albertsons by analyzing their unique monthly visitors, % of sales that are e-commerce, e-commerce size, brick and mortar store count, annual sales, and any other buying and merchandising metrics that can be used to compare them, for a better understanding of retailer offerings.

Early Findings

  • Our initial research focused on setting up spreadsheet to organize the research, along with entering some information.
  • The spreadsheet has been populated with unique monthly visitors, average online visit times, traffic sources, bounce rates, annual revenue, % of annual revenue that is e-commerce, brick & mortar store count, and total reach.
