Goals

To recommend car options for a family with three teenagers. The cars should be reasonably priced, big enough to fit three teenagers, and have proper protection and safety features in the event of a crash.

  • The 2020 Honda Odyssey is a minivan that offers space, cargo-carrying capability, and safety features. When compared to the average cost of a new car in the U.S. in 2020, the Honda Odyssey is reasonably priced.

  • The manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) for a 2020 Honda Odyssey is $39,180, while the average market price of the car is $35,751.

  • Our first hour of research provided insights that directly answer some of the questions, but we were unable to tackle the entire ask due to time constraints.
  • According to a report by CNBC, the average cost of a new car in the U.S. is $36,718. Therefore, for this research, we will assume the reasonable cost of a family car to be less than $50,000. If this is not acceptable, it should be communicated to us with the price range for the family car options.
