Companies that Own Supplement Brands

Goals

To gather information on different companies that could be potential buyers of a nutraceutical company, operate portfolios of supplement brands, and have acquired companies in the past. The information will be used to discuss acquisition targets and possible acquisition valuations with investors.

Early Findings

Nutraceutical International

  • This company, owned by HGGC since 2017, has many supplement brands in its portfolio, including Zand, Dynamic Health, Honey Gardens, Solaray, KAL, Zhou, LifeTime, Sunny Green, AllOne, Natural Sport, Nature's Life, Thompson, Herbs for Kids, Natural Balance, Simplers Botanicals, Heritage Store, and Emerita.
  • In 2016, Nutraceutical announced the acquisition of Dynamic HealthLaboratories,

iHealth Inc.

  • iHealth, a subdivision of Royal DSM, has mainly supplement brands in its portfolio, including Culturelle, AZO, Estroven, UP4, Ovega-3, BrainStrong Memory Support, and Life's DHA.
  • The company acquired UP4 in 2017.
