Goals

To provide an overview of the cloud-based services and the marketing associated with managed services of Meraki , Foritnet , Aruba / HPE , Extreme , Ruckus (Commscope) , Xirrus, Ubiquiti , Mist , Extreme, Cambium , Mojo , NetGear , DLINK , Cisco , TP link , Juniper , SonicWall/Dell , VeloCloud , Mikrotik.

Early Findings

While revenue for cloud-based services is available for some of the public players on the list, most private companies do not provide a breakdown of the revenue generated by each of their products. In cases like that we have provided the company's overall revenue.

  • Cisco's Meraki revenue was estimated to be roughly $34 million.
  • Its managed services products include Meraki Insights, Wireless WAN, Security and SD WAN, mobile device management, and Switching.
  • Cisco's services reached $12.9 billion in 2019. Cloud-specific information was not clearly detailed in the annual report.
  • Mojo Networks was acquired by Arista in August, 2018.
  • All the companies have been entered in the attached spreadsheet.

We propose by starting this research by providing the required information for the first 12 companies on the list, namely Meraki, Foritnet, Aruba / HPE, Extreme, Ruckus (Commscope), Xirrus, Ubiquiti, Mist, Extreme, Cambium, Mojo (Arista), NetGear, DLINK, and Cisco. For each company we will provide their cloud services revenue (where available) or their overall revenue, an overview of their MSP products and services, the benefits they offer with their cloud services, and an overview of their marketing approach towards MSP products, including the channels they use and their marketing messaging.
We could also find another 6-8 top MSP providers in the US, with top being defined by their revenue. For each company we will detail cloud services revenue (where available) or their overall revenue, an overview of their MSP products and services, the benefits they offer with their cloud services, and an overview of their marketing approach towards MSP products, including the channels they use and their marketing messaging.
