Goals

To determine the total value of business-to-business transactions in 2015, 2019, and estimations or projections for 2025 along with their respective CAGR.

Early Findings

  • Mckinsey, a global management consulting firm, estimates that businesses executed transactions worth $133 trillion in b2b cross-border payments in 2018. The entire market is expected to grow at a rate of 6.1% per annum between 2018 and 2023.
  • In 2015, global business-to-business transactions were valued at $135 trillion, growing at 0.2% year-on-year.
  • There are currently no publicly available reports that state the projected global value of business-to-business transactions for 2025. However, it is possible to infer from some of the data already found.
  • Assuming the market continues on its current CAGR of 6.1% to 2025, then we can safely estimate that the global size of cross border business-to-business transactions will grow from its current size to $204 trillion by 2025.
