Mass-Gathering Events Worldwide

Goals

To determine how many mass-gathering public events are being held worldwide each year to be grouped by type of mass-gathering of: Business Conferences and Concerts/Shows as data is pubilcly available in order to pitch a security platform for managing security in mass-gatherings.

To determine how many large scale events are managed by Fortune 1000 companies in order to pitch a security platform for managing security in mass-gatherings.

Early Findings

Our initial research on mass-gathering events being held worldwide was unable to determine an exact total number of public events each year or as grouped by category of business conferences and concerts/shows from any information that is publicly available. However, our research did reveal insights. Here are key pieces of information we found:
Mass Gathering Events Worldwide Thousands mass-gathering public events are being held worldwide each year.
In North America, business conferences and trade shows were the most commonly attended meeting activity at 23% and also represented 20% of meeting activity for Europe, 17% for Asia Pacific, and 10% for Central/South America in 2018.
 4% business conferences and conventions being held worldwide had more than 25,000 attendees in 2018.
An estimated 13,500 concerts were reported worldwide each year by Billboard Boxscore from most recent public data available.
