laws mandating mental
health education in schools.
Mental health training is becoming a requirement and is
being integrated into
the training of health professionals across disciplines. It is called "
alongside health-care professionals from other disciplines as a way to improve patient-centered care—is fast becoming an accreditation requirement for many health-care professions."
In addition, "
many states have increased
funding for school counseling and added psychologists to their health staffs." The
increased funding and demand
for counselors and psychology is also driving demand for mental health education.
