Based on the account of a
chronic back pain sufferer
, she tried various methods to address her condition.

include stretching, yoga, ignoring the pain, patches acupuncture, painkiller injections, medications, compresses, surgery, physical therapy, and other techniques.
When she seemed to have exhausted all methods, she finally
tried meditation
after a family member urged her to attend a meditation class.
Her meditation sessions helped her
take control of her mind
and body.
After several meditation sessions, she was able to feel better and the
pain became much more bearable
.
Based on clinical tests, mindfulness meditation can
bring down chronic pain by 57%
. Those who are experienced in the practice can even bring it down by more than 90%.
Those who are suffering from chronic pain are now
turning more to mindfulness meditation
to ease their suffering.
