and high tech manufacturing sector, the number of businesses with more than 20 employees in each sector with 3-5 examples of each.
- According to the 2019 SBA Small Business Profile, there are 3,153,318 small businesses in the construction sector in the US (2016 data).
- Out of these firms, 626,743 have between 1–19 employees, while 682,292 have 1-499 employees. Therefore, we can calculate the number of small business construction firms with more than 20 employees as 55,549 (682,292-626,743).
