A1PI COPD-E Terminology

Goals

To determine whether patients as well as caregivers or physicians refer to A1PI COPD-E in other terminologies or common language terms. Research will be used to develop insights for an advertising program. 

Early Findings

EEA1PI COPD-E TERMINOLOGY FINDINGSThe COPD Foundation lists no entry for A1PI COPD-E or other terminology aside from exacerbations, which is also called flare-ups.
The Alpha1 Foundation lists no results for A1PI COPD-E, though it has a 2015 announcement mentioning an A1PI biologic candidate in development. 
There were no results for A1PI COPD-E in Reddit thread r/COPD.
There were no results for A1PI COPD-E in GOLD COPD patient advocacy website. 
There were no related terms to A1PI COPD-E or COPD-E in Google Search Trends. 
However, related search terms to COPD include "how does copd kill you" and "copd guidelines 2019".
There were no related hashtag results or common language terms for A1PI COPD-E and COPD-E.
However, there were related hashtags to COPD which include #asthma.
AATD Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AATD) is associated with mutations in the gene responsible for encoding A1PI.
