Business Development Messaging After COVID-19

  • COVID-19 is creating a new business landscape. Experts encourage developing businesses to have a wider and long-term perspective that will make their emergence even stronger and more sustainable when the COVID-19 crisis is over.
  • A scan of states that have been recognized for business development messaging for potential businesses after COVID-19 did not find any messaging of this type at this time. However, while not offering specific messaging for developing businesses for after COVID-19, the state of Connecticut does have messaging on their Small Business Development Center site that offers advice and help for starting a business on a path of success.
  • Although states do not appear to be developing messaging for potential businesses to come after COVID-19 yet, some marketers are already creating messaging for when the pandemic crisis is over. An example is positive messaging that emphasizes the ability to now build a better future together.
  • Experts in the hotel sector of the hospitality industry are also already creating messaging for when the COVID-19 crisis is over. An example of this messaging is to reassure guests that the hotel is still taking proper precautions and will continue to do so to ensure the safety of staff and guests.
