Goals

    To obtain reports on the podcasts that are most active in promoting themselves on social media, the shows that are most heavily promoted on social media, the social channels that are most promoted, their following, insights on commonalities across the podcasts that are promoted most effectively with a view to understanding the best practices of podcast promotion on social media to make better decisions about how to promote podcast shows in the future.

Early Findings

  • These persons tend to watch streaming on Amazon, YouTube, Spotify and Netflix. On Spotify alone 72% of the users are millenials.
  • Listeners of podcasts are usually active on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Pinterest. In fact, as many as 94% of consumers are on one social media channel.
