Wireless Communication for Ports - Tenders

Goals

To provide information on 15 current tenders for wireless communication networks in ports in Europe and the USA that will inform the sales strategy for a similar product

Early Findings

Port Authorities in the USA and EuropeThe US has 69 different port authorities operational in including in all 50 states, the US Virgin Islands, and Guam.
Europe has 30 port authorities in EU member countries.
Individual TendersIn 2018, the Port of Oakland issued an RFP for Wireless Fidelity Communication
 and Internet (Wi-Fi) Services.
In 2017, the Port of Los Angeles issued an RFP for an expert vendor for smart port wireless network services.
In 2019, a joint task force which included the  Marysville – Union County Port Authority issued an RFP for wireless communications.
In 2020, Nokia completed Phase One of a 5G-ready private wireless connectivity project for Port of Zeebrugge.
