Goals

To determine top players(brands) across social media platforms based on the their engagement and social media following. This information will be used to put together a social media strategy to obtain the best in class.

Early Findings

As we dove into the background research of this topic, we encountered several top players having a very high social media presence and following. Some of the players are Missguided, Domino's, Nike, Lego, and others. Below is provided analysis for some of the top players:

Missguided

  • It is a crucial channel for fas-fashion retailers.
  • It has over 4.7 million followers on Instagram.
  • It uses the hashtag #missguided for its posts and promotions.
  • It has a very high social media presence especially on Instagram posting at least 7 creative-content posts including lifestyle posts, promotions, promos, and others.
  • Missguided posts very unique content which includes different kind of tutorials videos, fashion posts, unique apparels, and others.
  • Its official Facebook page has over 1.2 million followers. The brand is having a very high presence on Facebook as well and is posting every 2 hours in a day. The content seems to be similar to that of its Instagram account. It seems to be using #babeofmissguided for its Facebook page.
  • It has over 457,000 followers on Twitter with an engagement rate of a minimum of 9 posts per day. The different posts content seem to vary per posts showcasing fashion divas with unique apparells.
  • One of its most like posts was a meme posted on September 15, 2019, which was regarding a body transformation of a girl dressed in black apparel. It received 1300 likes and 125 retweets.
