Top Recruiting Websites

Goals

To obtain a list of the best online job boards from a recruiter's perspective.

Early Findings

  • In order to determine the top online recruiting websites, we reviewed a number of articles and lists reporting on the subject, and selected those sites which appeared a minimum of three times. This provided us with a list of four online job recruiting websites: Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Indeed, and ZipRecruiter.

GLASSDOOR

LINKEDIN

  • LinkedIn is reported by Text Request, U.S. News, Robert Half, and Proven as being one of the top job search sites for both recruiters and job-seekers.
  • LinkedIn has more than 500 million active job-seekers signed up for accounts, giving recruiters access to a vast number of potential recruits.
  • The site boasts that 75 percent of recruiters on LinkedIn "said they were more successful with" the website's Recruiter application.

INDEED

  • Indeed is reported by Text Request, U.S. News, Robert Half, and Proven as being one of the top job search sites for both recruiters and job-seekers.
  • Indeed's pay scale is set up so that recruiters only pay when potential employees click on their job posting. Additionally, users are given the option to set a cap on their spending to avoid exceeding their budget.
  • The website reports that 73 percent of job-seekers are actively using Indeed to find a position.

ZIPRECRUITER

  • ZipRecruiter is reported by Text Request, U.S. News, Robert Half, and Proven as being one of the top job search sites for both recruiters and job-seekers.
  • Unlike other online recruiting websites, ZipRecruiter places job listings on more than 100 other job sites across the web, ensuring that recruiters' postings are seen by as many applicants as possible.
  • Additionally, using criteria input by the recruiter, ZipRecruiter automatically selects candidates who appear to be the best fit for the position, putting the job listing in front of them specifically.

  • In addition to this public search, we scanned our proprietary research database of over one million sources and were unable to find any specific research reports that address your goals.
