Early Findings

  • The global cloud market service was valued at $264.80 billion (2019)- projected to reach $927.51 by 2027, growing at CAGR 16.47%. Western Europe will be the second largest market, second to the U.S., with nearly 20% of the worldwide total.
  •  Software as a Service (SaaS) forecast through 2023- will be the largest category of cloud computing, capturing more than half of all public cloud spending in throughout the forecast- leading SaaS applications- (CRM) and (ERM).
  • The SaaS market in Europe is extremely robust, and growing fast, with the pan-Europe CAGR estimated at 25% over the period 2018-2023. Rapid expansion, and increased popularity of SaaS indicates the trend towards automation within business will continue to grow.
  •  Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) will be the second largest category of public cloud spending throughout 2023, followed by Platform as a Service (PaaS). IaaS spending, comprised of servers and storage devices, will also be the fastest growing category of cloud spending with a five-year CAGR of 32.0%. PaaS spending will grow nearly as fast (29.9% CAGR) led by purchases of data management software, application platforms, and integration and orchestration middleware.
  • In 2018, the entire Western Europe market continued to represent one-fifth of the global market, with revenues growing from $15 billion (2015) to $38.6 billion (2020), at a 20.8% 5-year CAGR.
