Goals

To provide a demographic analysis of five major over-the-top (OTT) media platforms covering the total number of viewers, gender, and age group. Specifically, we will be analyzing the following OTT platforms: Hulu, Amazon, Pluto, Roku, and Tubi.

In our preliminary hour of research, we were able to identify relevant demographic information on the major OTT platforms. Below are some of our findings:

User Breakdown

  • Amazon Prime: Globally, 39 percent of people who subscribe to Amazon Prime consumers are between the ages of 18–34, 34 percent are between the ages of 35-54, and 26 percent are aged 55 years and above. According to recent research by Lab 24, Amazon Prime users tend to be older individuals who are highly educated and earn mid to high incomes. They also tend to have diverse interests such as politics, sports, traveling, hiking, and board games.
