To gain a list of venture-capital firms that are known for funding women-owned/women-founded businesses.

Early Findings

  • 37 Angels has a curated list of resources for female founders. Among these are VC firms specializing in women-owned businesses: 500 Women, Astia, Built by Girls (BBG) Ventures, Chloe Capital, Female Founders Fund, Golden Seeds, Hypatia Capital, Intel Capital Diversity Fund, Mergelane, Next Wave Impact, Pipeline Fellowship, Tory Burch Foundation Capital Program, Valor Ventures and Women's Venture Fund.
  • In another list from Inc, here are some more VCs that are known for funding female founders: Amplifyher Ventures, Backstage Capital, Belle Capital USA, Bumble Fund, Jane VC, JumpStart Focus Fund, Merian Ventures, New Voices Fund, Portfolia and Rethink Impact.
  • Additionally, Halogen Ventures and Plum Alley are listed on Crunchbase as specializing in women-led startups.
  • GeekWire found 50 VC and angel investors prioritizing female founders. Of these, Bonnie Beeman has invested in cosmetics.
  • The Female Founders Fund has made investments in several beauty, health & wellness and fashion startups.
  • SoGal Ventures helped fund makeup and skincare brand Winky Lux, as well as haircare startup Function of Beauty.
