Website Visitor Analysis

Goals

To build an audience for a behavioral therapy brand that specializes in treating kids with autism by analyzing the website visitors of Autism Society and Autism Speaks.

Early Findings

Autism Speaks

  • This site has had approximately 602,030 visitors in the past month. Each visit has lasted 7 minutes and 44 seconds on average and viewed 2.11 pages. This site has a bounce rate of 75.07%. The US contributes to the most number of visitors: 66.63%. This is followed by the UK, Canada, and Australia with 5.46%, 3.58%, and 3.28%, respectively.
  • The primary traffic source for this site is Search, which is their primary marketing strategy. The second source of traffic is Direct and Social comes in third: 80.07%, 14.72%, and 2.09%, respectively.
  • There is also traffic that comes from social media platforms. This analysis revealed that the primary social sites that drive the most traffic in descending order include Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn: 50.19%, 30.03%, 14.29%, and 3.18%, respectively.

Autism Society

  • This site has had approximately 77,940 visitors in the past month. Each visit has lasted 50 seconds on average and viewed 1.84 pages. This site has a bounce rate of 79.61%. The US contributes to the most number of visitors: 56.38%. This is followed by Canada, the UK, and Australia with 9.1%, 8.09%, and 5.17%, respectively.
  • The primary traffic source for this site is Search, which is their primary marketing strategy. The second source of traffic is Direct and Social comes in third: 82.39%, 12.89%, and 2.41%, respectively.
  • There is also traffic that comes from social media platforms. This analysis revealed that the primary social site that drives the most traffic is Twitter, then Reddit, then Facebook, and then LinkedIn: 42.34%, 25.78%, 24.04%, and 12.20%, respectively.

Summary of our Early Findings

  • During the one-hour research time at this stage, we searched various tools that could provide insight into the site visitors. Our analysis through tools such as SimilarWeb, Quantcast, and Ahref was only able to provide the data presented above.
  • For certain tools to populate data, the visitor count needs to be adequate/beyond a certain threshold. As a result, we have limited information available.
  • Additional research will provide an analysis of social media sites, the website, campaigns, and messaging on social media to draw some inferences. The research paths below will provide additional insights that would constitute a comprehensive report.
