• Intel Federal LLC is a subsidiary of Intel Corp. that was launched in August 2011.
• At the time it was launched, Intel Federal's aim was to concentrate on new sales opportunities within the federal government.  
• The formation of the subsidiary was done to show that Intel was committed to supporting the missions of the federal government going forward.
• Intel Federal plays the role of managing and developing contracts with the U.S. government with three results being pursued. These are:
•  Driving revenue growth and increasing the share of the U.S. government's total IT spend.
• Enhancing the future product offering of Intel alongside commercial and government needs through research and development efforts.
•  Improving the strategic position and relationship on major government initiatives.
• The company's business line is focused on the manufacturing of semiconductors and solid-state devices.
